I missed being a native Californian by about 2 years. Raised and educated in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, I attended El Cerrito High School and San Francisco State University. Continuing my real estate specific education, I completed advanced real estate studies at the Community College of San Mateo and San Jose State University. The courses included appraisal, management, principles and ethics.
During the advanced studies, I was employed in the savings and loan industry as a loan agent, and regional loan manager covering a great deal of the Bay Area. With responsibility for over 30 agents, my region was consistently among the highest producing regions in the state.
In 1980, I became licensed as a real estate broker (as opposed to a less demanding salesperson license) and re-directed my career to sales. For the next 15 years, I plied my profession in the Los Gatos-Saratoga area reaching into the Greater Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and San Mateo County areas. Since then I have concentrated on San Benito, Santa Clara and Monterey Counties with occasional advances into Santa Cruz County.
